Various presentations relevant to this year’s theme “1000 Cities , 1000 Lives : Urban Health Matters” were made by Dr.Pretam Mahajan, Dr.Thirunaaukarasu & Dr. B.K. Behera on 9th April 2010 at SVMCH & RC.  Dr.Dilipkumar Baliga, Director of Health & Family Welfare Services, Government of Puducherry presided over the function and drew attention of the august gathering which also included Faculty members from Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences & Indirani College of Nursing regarding various aspects of Urbanisation & role each one of us can play to bring about a change.  The highlight of this function was Poster  and Rangoli Competition & a debate on “Is Urbanisation – a Boon or Curse?”  by Medical Students of SVMCH & RC.
